Refurbishment of the existing Bishops Palace and associated ancillary outbuildings namely The Gate Lodge, School House, Managers House, Coach House, and Bolton Library. Demolition works involved the removal of the existing stairwell and lift shaft to the East of the existing Bishops Palace along with the link between the main house and Bolton Library. The new build works consisted of the construction of a new bedroom block, ballroom, courtyard plantroom, ESB Substation building along with a new Spa building with indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
External works consisted of a new car park to the rear of the site along with the reconfiguration of the existing carpark adjacent to the site. We also had to install extensive amounts of limestone paving flags and setts and a major refurbishment of the existing historic walls bounding the site was carried out as part of the works.
Based in the centre of Cashel town and bounded on all sides by neighbouring properties and public roads daily co-ordination for deliveries and works impacting the public was key to ensure no disruption was made.
