Description

The project involved the construction of new buildings, including a Semi-Covered Ride, ESB Sub-station, Washbays, and a treadmill building, as well as the provision of site services. To make way for these new buildings, Mulcahy Construction demolished an existing 8 span covered ride building up to approximately 9 meters above existing ground level. The new buildings were situated within a stud farm, surrounded by other buildings and gallops that were in constant use by the client. The main residence within the stud farm was also in close proximity to the construction site.

Mulcahy Construction worked closely with the farm manager to ensure that construction activities did not disturb the horses and were carried out in a safe and responsible manner. This involved implementing procedures for phone usage, construction traffic management, and noise control. By working collaboratively with the client, Mulcahy Construction was able to deliver the project on time and within budget while ensuring that the horses and other animals on the stud farm were not negatively impacted by the construction activities.
