The new single-story blockwork detached structure built during phase two was a significant addition to the facility. With a total area of 7695 sq.ft, the structure was designed to provide 10 en-suite respite rooms. The construction and fit-out also included essential amenities such as a kitchen, staff offices, canteen, main reception area, and a public circulation area.
The external site works were extensive and included the creation of an enclosed garden space, general hard and soft landscaping, paving, new entrance walls, security gates, and tarmacadam. Civil works were also carried out to create a new one-way traffic system, and to connect to existing water, drainage, foul, and electrical services.
The new structure and amenities will undoubtedly play a significant role in the facility’s ability to provide high-quality care and support.
