Mulcahy Construction Ltd recently completed Mikey Ryan's Bar & Kitchen, in Cashel, Co. Tipperary. The project consisted of the restoration & refurbishment of a listed building, including the construction of a new extension to the rear. Mulcahy Construction have recently completed an 11 bay fit out at South Tipperary General Hospital. The project was undertaken in the surroundings of a live hospital, with a programme of 10 weeks. We would like to thank the relevant design teams, sub-contractors and HSE staff for their contributions in the success of this project.

Image of our project at South Tipperary general hospital, Clonmel. Our team has successfully completed the following complex works while co-ordinating and communicating with the A&E department adjacent to our site to ensure no disruption to staff and patients.

Works Completed:

Task: Excavation of 2,500m3 of rock. Challenge: Reducing noise levels while breaking rock.

Task: Re-location of the hospitals main electrical & water supply. Challenge: Keeping the hospital live during switch over.

Project Status:
Our current stage on site is working on the concrete frame of the building.

Project Description:

Mulcahy Construction Ltd. recently completed the enabling works for a new primary care centre planned at Dungarvan Hospital, Co. Waterford.

Our Scope of Work included:

The relocation of the existing ambulance centre.

The relocation of existing services.

The construction of two new car parks. One challenge in the construction of these car parks was the specialist removal of Japanese knotweed before work could commence.

Delivery of the Project:

Mulcahy Construction Ltd. delivered this project to the Health Service Executive (HSE) safely, on time and on budget.

Project Description:

Mulcahy Construction Ltd. recently completed the enabling works for a new primary care centre planned at St. Otteran's Hospital, Co. Waterford.

Our Scope of Work included:

The relocation of existing services. One of the challenges that we faced was the electrical switch over from the existing plant room to the new plant room ensuring the hospital remained in full operation.

The demolition of the engine house building and associated buildings needed to be controlled in order to protect the listed chimney located directly in the centre of the buildings.

Remedial and structural works to the listed brick chimney which was over 100 years old. Works included, Removing existing steel bands and replacing with new fabricated steel bands, Cut out and replace defective pointing using NHL Lime, installation of a new lighting conductor, lead detail to the bottom of the chimney stack.

Delivery of the Project:

Mulcahy Construction Ltd. delivered this project to the Health Service Executive (HSE) safely, on time and on budget.

Mulcahy Construction Ltd Awarded Contract For New Radiology Department.

The HSE has awarded Mulcahy Construction Ltd the contract to construct the new Radiology Department at South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary.

The €3 million project will consist of a three storey building. The ground floor will facilitate the new Radiology Department while the remaining two floors will be used for other acute services.
Work has commenced on site with the building being available to the public in September 2016.

Mulcahy Construction Ltd look forward to working with the client and following professionals to deliver the new Radiology Department:
